I’ve been cutting back some of the dead branches near the forest floor in order to create a space. My very own Gothic cathedral. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Some of the early Romantics (like James Hall from 1785 ‘Essay on the Origins, History and Principles of Gothic Architecture’) suggests that the original building methods of the first Gothic architects where with rooted sticks or an “alley of trees.” As a kind of botanical architecture embodying ‘organic’ truths stretching back to primitive habitat: the sublimity of vegetable creation.
